Rhodium plating is what we use to bring back the glistening look in white gold jewellery. As the base colour of natural white gold has a yellow tinge to it, the plating wears off in time due to wear and tear therefore white gold needs to be re-plated every so often. Many things contribute to this wearing off quicker such as hand sanitisers, alcohol and fragrances but sometimes we need to use these things in our everyday lives, even though it may contribute to the wear of the plating.
